Our Story
The Renacimiento Institute was founded by Mirna Mejia Alvarenga, an educator whose philosophy is to “educate with love” After 35 years Renacimiento has grown from being founded as a kindergarten to now providing education from age 3 to 18 years of age. Renacimiento offers modern lab courses with the latest in computer technology. We focus on teaching students’ important lessons in values, morals, and innovation. Our goal is for each of our students to reach their maximum potential and leave with the tools they need to succeed in life.

Changing the lives of children while expanding your horizons. There is a lot of opportunity for growth and our international educators get to immerse themselves in the Honduran culture. You must be willing to adapt to the Honduran ways of doing things, even if they are different from your ways. The majority of our students come from middle and lower class income families with hardworking parents who make big sacrifices to be able to send their children to a private school. A lot of times language can be a barrier so it is important to embrace the change and think of the experience as an adventure and learning experience for yourself.
